BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE: The person signing the booking form is assumed to have full authority for all of the people listed on it and accepts the terms and conditions herewith on behalf of all those named.
TARIFFS: The tariff shown on all publications is guaranteed from the date that we receive your deposit.
RESERVATION: For exclusive bookings, a maximum of 8 anglers are permitted. To make a reservation you should e-mail islandlake.france@outlook.com for availability. A booking form will be sent out for completion and is to be returned (within 2 weeks of its receipt) with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit (see below). If the booking form and initial deposit is not received within two weeks, we reserve the right to re-advertise the week held. Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, a confirmation e-mail will be sent, this is formal acceptance of the booking.
DEPOSIT: If a booking is made in excess of a year, a £20 holding deposit per person is required with the completed booking form. In all other instances, a deposit of 50% of the cost should be sent with the completed booking form. If a booking is made within 10 weeks of the departure date, the full balance is payable. All payments are to be made via bank transfer to Island Lake France Ltd to sort code 20-54-25 and Account number 73293831. Please put your name and date of trip as a reference. The deposit is non-refundable.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT: The balance of payment must be made in full at least 10 weeks before commencement of your trip. If payment is not received by the date due, we reserve the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. When full payment is received, you will receive confirmation of full and final payment. Any chargeable expenses arising during the rental period should be settled with us locally before your departure.
CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel your trip, you will be liable for a cancellation fee based on the following rates:
Cancellation more than 10 weeks before departure date – deposit paid; up to 50% of total trip
Cancellation less than 10 weeks before departure date – full cost of trip
INSURANCE: You are strongly advised to arrange comprehensive travel insurance including cancellation cover and to have full cover for each angler’s personal belongings, public liability etc, since these are not covered by our insurance.
PASSPORT: It is your responsibility to ensure that all party members hold a full valid passport for travel within Europe, with a minimum of 6 months until expiry.
CONTRACT: You agree to abide by the rules of the Island Lake Ltd. Signature on the booking form constitutes a contract between you and Island Lake France Ltd and is accepted by both parties subject to English law.
LIABILITY: Under no circumstances shall our liability to you exceed the amount paid to Island Lake France Ltd for your trip. We cannot be held responsible if the lakes freeze during colder months when bookings are made, but notice will be given to you where possible. We will not be liable for any loss, delay, cancellation, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, flood, riot, war, industrial disputes, closure of ports or and other matters beyond our control.
PERSONAL RISK: Fishing is carried out entirely at the angler’s own risk. We shall not be liable for any accident or damage that might occur on the property and advise all visitors to be aware of their own personal safety at all times. We accept no responsibility for damage or loss of personal property including fishing tackle, vehicles and personal property. No intoxicated, aggressive, excessively loud, or unsafe behaviour will be tolerated under any circumstances.
PERIOD OF RENTAL: The rental period shall commence on the first day (Saturday). There will be no access to the fishery before 1pm on the first day of your booking and will finish at 10am on the last day (Saturday). We will not be obliged to accommodate your party before the time stated and you will not be entitled to remain after the time stated.
COMPLAINTS: In the unlikely event that you or a member of your party has a complaint regarding your trip, please advise the bailiff immediately. If this is not possible, any complaints should be brought to our attention within 2 weeks following your trip.
